Meet the Instructors
Marc Fitzwater is the owner of I68 Consulting Group and a retiring Green Beret serving 22 years in the US Army with a 15-year career in Army Special Forces. Having served in both the 7th and 10th Special Forces Groups, Marc has been deployed ten times to various global hotspots, including the Middle East, Central and South America, and Eastern Europe, in both combat and operational capacities. His extensive experience includes training foreign Special Operations Forces (SOF) militaries and police units, who have effectively utilized this training in real-world operations. Additionally, Marc is a certified NRA Pistol Instructor and Chief Range Safety Officer, further highlighting his expertise in firearms training and safety.
Driven by his passion for teaching and recognizing the critical need for quality instruction in defensive shooting, Marc founded I68 Consulting Group. His company reflects his commitment to leveraging his elite military training and operational experience to educate and empower others. Through I68 Consulting Group, Marc aims to provide top-tier training and consultancy services, ensuring that individuals and organizations receive the best possible training in defensive shooting and security consultation.
Sam Winslow is a retired Green Beret who served 26 years on active duty, 16 of those years with the 10th Special Forces Group. His expertise in firearms training stems from his time as a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant, as well as his hands on teaching experience with countless foreign Special Operations Forces. Sam has deployed across the globe, both in peacetime and in combat.
He is a graduate of the Special Forces Sniper Course as well as the US Army’s premier school for close quarters battle (CQB). Sam has been trained by some of the finest shooters in the Special Operations and civilian communities and has spent hundreds of hours honing his craft.
With the I68 Consulting Group, Sam has the ability to continue to train both new and experienced shooters in the nuances of practical shooting scenarios. Like Marc, Sam recognized the need for providing access to expert-level defensive shooting to the armed public. He believes that everyone should receive the best type of instruction available, and that it be provided by members of our community with the experience and competence in that art.
