Welcome to the I68 Pistol Fundamentals Course.
This course is intentionally designed to establish a strong, durable foundation in defensive pistol shooting—one built on proven principles rather than minimum standards or checklist-driven instruction. Our focus is on developing functional habits that hold up under stress and translate beyond the range.
We begin with a comprehensive safety and range operations brief to ensure every student clearly understands expectations, procedures, and accountability. From there, we move to the range and methodically build each core shooting principle, emphasizing correct mechanics, consistency, and efficiency.
No prior experience is required. For newer shooters, this course provides a clear, structured path to competence and confidence. For experienced shooters, it offers the opportunity to identify, address, and correct ingrained habits that may be limiting performance at higher levels.
Our I68 instructors work closely with each student throughout the day, providing individual feedback and purposeful coaching. We maintain a deliberate pace and instructor-to-student ratio that allows for meaningful instruction—not rushed repetitions.
Our standard is simple: when you leave this course, you should possess a clear understanding of the fundamentals, the ability to apply them correctly, and the confidence that your training was thorough, intentional, and worth the investment.
